I get these really bad pains about once a month down around where my ovaries would be. I've heard that those could be ovulation pains but my health teacher at school said that you cant feel when youre ovulating. It usually hurts on the left side and sometimes when I sneeze. Should I get this checked out?
your health teacher is wrong. I have 4 children and have had plenty of trips to the ob/gyn. I had to ask the same question of my doc because I get crampy, and sometimes even sharp pains right over my ovaries when I am ovulating. the doc said it is normal and common. sometimes it is only one side, but most often it is both at once, and it is usually only present for a day or 2. BUT, if you have any doubt, or if you are sexually active, I would still go get it checked out. its better to be on the safe side than to find out there is something going on. so take care of yourself the right way, and go see a doc! good luck!
I agree with spaceyic your health teacher is stupid and obviously not a nurse. I have 3 kids and I can tell when I am ovulating. I do not get any pain but I don't get mentrual cramps either. If you are really concerned get it checked out to ease you mind. And then rub it in your health teacher face, lol. She should stick with teaching or go back to school.
TEACHER IS WRONG!!! Not to be embarrasing, but take some Midol. Helps a TON! Took some last night, woke up feeling great. Little Shakey though...
I get ovulating pains every month... They're perfectly normal. Your teacher is wrong.
