how can I convince my parents to let me have a Myspace??

Answer #1

Well obivsouly your parents don’t want you to have a myspace because they care about.. there’s some pretty crazy stuff that goes on there.. but maybe try gaining ther trust? sit down and talk to them and say look there is many privacy settings on myspace.. Such as you can set your pictures comments and profile to private like your pictures you can mark as only you can look at or only your friends can look at them.. Well your comments you can set to where you have to approve the comment b4 it is displayed on your page.. Your profile privacy thing well it’s simple if you set it to private then no one can look at your profile unless they are your friend and you don’t have to put anything that you don’t want to put on your profile such as your age location weight height your favorite thing about you or anythhing like that.. Also try telling your parents that you will only add and accept ppl you know! Well good luck! If you do so happen to get a myspace well hit me up k?

My mom caught me with a myspace, and honestly I’m kind of happy about it. Trust me, myspace isn’t that AMAZING. Plus theres so many horror stories with it too. Your parents obviously know what is right. Anything can happen even to the most responsible person! But if your really interested in having one, just sit down and calmy tell your parents why you want one and ask them why they dont wnat you having one.

I had the same problem when I first got one. Your parents are probably worried because they see all those stories about girls running off to foreign countries and meeting guys or meeting someone alone somewhere, etc. Assure your parents that you’re smart and you won’t do anything like that. Then, try telling them that you’ll only accept people that you know in-person. Also, tell your mom and dad that they can check on who you’re friends with, if it would make them feel better. Your parents will see that you have some sensible ideas and will most likely let you get one. It worked for me!
