Ob-gyn. [girls only)

Okay so I really want to go get a check up to make sure that everything is fine’ down there.

How can I convince my mom to take me because I cant go without her. Please give me some advice.

Answer #1

she can just wait outside the door. most doctors ask the person if there comfortable woth someone in the room if your not just tell them to leave haha

Answer #2

she should take you anyways… but just ask if you can go to the doctors to get a cheakup to make sure everything is okayy… I dont really see why she would get mad for taking you to the doctors

Answer #3

Just tell her. It shouldn’t be that awkward. My mom made me go when I was 10. She should understand, just say mom…can we get my plumbing checked? lol.

if there is something you want to talk to the gynocologist about or if you are having sex and your mom doesnt know, and you dont want her to know, the best advice I can offier is to say that you are experiencing problems with your period and you just want to get checked out. I wouldnt ordinarily advocate for lying to your mother, but if it will keep you safe during sex by seeing a gyno, or if you think you have a problem because you had sex then I feel like that is more important. anything said between you and the dr. once you are in the room, is private. The dr. wouldnt tell your mom anything. If you want to go just because you want a general check up and it has nothing to do with sex or keeping it from your mom, just tell her that you really want to make sure that you are healthy everywhere, and you think now would be a good time to start going to the gyn.
