nvidia cards

I have a dual core mother board which has a PSU of 385 watts…the minimum requirement for a nvidia 9400gt 1gb card is 350w…will this card run smoothly on my board…?

Answer #1

sometimes if your nvidia card doesnt work. you need to download nvidia forceware of nvidia software. there all free downloads

Answer #2

try it… I have the nvidia 850 and a quad processor and the thing doesn’t work… of course I have terrible luck with this kind of stuff.

it looks like you exceed the requirements, so it should work.

Answer #3

You should look for something bigger than a 450 Watt PSU. Don’t forget that not only does your video card draw power, but so does the MB, HD, DVD, sound, etc. Get a good PSU that can power everything that you want to run in your PC.

Answer #4

If you have a couple hundred bucks, I’d go for a 1k or 1.2k watt. You’d never need another PSU again, cause those things will last a while if used for lower-power purposes.

Answer #5

yes, the nvidia 9400 card will support your motherboard. there is no problem in the psu. its sufficient. all the hardware requirements of the card meet the requirements of the computer and the power supply.
