What should my boyfriend and I talk about?

I’ve been dating a guy for 4 years, we recently just got married and our relationship is really good but when we go out together to a restaurant or something we have a really hard time finding something to talk about, Im worried it will get boring, how do I find things to talk about that are worth talking about?

Answer #1

think of random questions to talk about like.. what came first the chiken or the egg? do stairs go up or down? I don’t know google it

Ideally, conversation should just flow or the silence should be very comfortable in a good relationship. You really should not have to force it. Do you two have much in common to talk about?

I find that when I have a good relationship with someone, the conversation keeps flowing naturally, even if we are not even really talking about anything important or anything in particular.

Ah, very possible. If you’re feeling pressure to have more in common and have some mind blowing conversation, that can just make things more tense and forced! So it’s a little bit of a vicious cycle. If you can relax a little, forget about her, and not try too hard, then you might find conversation flowing a bit more naturally.

Also, he left you for her, but then came back to you, right? So maybe that great conversation didn’t impress him all that much anyway. :P

I think that may be our problem, hes a computer geek game fanatic and I couldnt find the backspace button on a keyboard if my life depended on it. Silence is comfortable some of the time, I think maybe this insecurity im feeling comes from a girl he once left me for. She was into alot of the same things that he is and from what Ive heard the conversation was amazing. Maybe Im just trying to keep up but then thats leads into a whole other range of questions.
