How do i not have another nightmare falling asleep right after i woke up from one?

Answer #1

Only thing I can think of is to read something happy, or watch something happy. Aside from getting your mind onto more positive subjects I can’t think of anything else.

just think about something that makes you really happy, while you’re trying to fall back asleep, that helps me. (:

I am not sure you can control your dreams or nightmares… Sometimes when we dream, we dream of things that bother us when we are conscience…like that next huge test we need to ace…or landing that awesome job…it could also be a fear of some sort like if something is troubling you…a family member being god forbid ill, or just anything stressful… Other times it could just be a case of making the right decision like, what college to go to, significant other situation, or some sort of dispute…leave home to something better or to fall onto something worse…all that can cause unnecessary stress and may be causing your nightmares!

my personal advice to you…see if you can be more relaxed before bed…no stress, no tv, no computer, just some relaxing music to clear your mind…breathe by inhaling through your nose and slowly exhaling through your mouth 10x and allowing your mind to wonder to a nice tropical tranquil place til you doze off into a deep sleep!
Also make sure you dont anything 2 hours before bedtime…also helps when you are lighter on your stomach, so your stomach doesnt have to digest anything but some water!

here is also another thing, if you happen to have another nightmare or dream when you wake up try to remember everything you dreamed & funmail it to me…i will try to help you understand what it means & perhaps it will help you understand why you had that dream/nightmare!

hope this helped!

imagine the dream again but this time make it a funny one :D:D (change how your brain view things ) this should work ….if it doesn’t then relive the dream and try to know what is causing the nightmare… google for dream moods this might help you
