Take her to your local health clinic…tell them the situation. At least they can talk with her and sometime…they will even send over a nurse to help in the home to get rid of them. It’s worth try. Sue…good luck

Yeah, its possible to be a real situation… its very gross though. I woudl have to ask, why aren’t her parents doing anything about the Nits?

Your friend needs to be evaluated by a health care provider to be absolutely sure that body or hair lice is the problem. If it is indeed, your friend should not need to cut her hair. Everyone in the household must be treated for this problem to go away. The fabrics must be washed in very hot water to kill the lice and their eggs. The hair must be washed with the special shampoo as directed on the box. No sharing caps, combs, brushes, hair pieces, barettes, et cetera.

Dear tasha2k6, You have to buy special shampoo from the pharmacy. All bedding needs to be washed and put in a hot dryer. Any stuffed toys should be bagged for several weeks. All furniture needs cleaning in the home. Towels never to be shared. She must be itchy all the time? There is a lot of information on the internet…do not cut her hair it can be treated successfully if they follow the rules. Sue…good luck

Answer #6

ew.

put a dye thru her hair. its kills em’ all. they die from the strength and fumes. it works better than lice stuff.

and if shes a bit sesnative to the lice situation then you dont even need to tell her the reason. just be like “hey youre hair would look sooo good this colour!” and get other people to go along till she dyes it.

but are you sure they are headlice?? if they were then wudnt you and your friends have them too? or at least have problems with them?

The key to treating a lice infestation – and preventing re-infestation – is to break the lifecycle with a product that removes the eggs before they can hatch. There are a number of natural non - toxic products available which assist the process, including nit-nurse. Nit-Nurse uses natural plant extracts and oils, including Olea europaea – one of nature’s anti-parasitics – and Eucalyptus globulus – a powerful natural disinfectant – to help eliminate head lice.
