Nervous about the SAT

Hi, Im taking the SAT soon and I am so nervous. I’ve been practicing online for a while(about 6 hrs a day). I always take full length test, and the scores are never good..not even 1500, I always to good on the essay portion…People say that the SAT is much easier than the practices that I do…How can I properly prepare for the big day? Did anyone else feel nervous before the test? What are some of you guys scores?

1500 is a damn good score. But keep in mind that if you are unhappy with the results, you can take the test again. Almost all schools will accept the highest score you make.

Answer #2

Ty, they changed the format. It’s not out of 1600 anymore. The SAT now consists of three major sections: Critical Reading, Mathematics, and Writing. Each section receives a score on the scale of 200–800, so the maximum possible is 2400.

When I took it, I didn’t do so hot…1200/1600. I just went and took the ACT, which I scored almost perfectly on. Many schools accept ACT scores instead. The SAT isn’t the be all end all.

Answer #3

1500? Are you trying to get into the top 3 schools? (or have they changed the format? because when I took it, 1500 pretty much guaranteed you a place in almost any school you wanted)

You really need to chill out, 6 hours is a lot. The night before dont even think about doing any prep courses. If you havent gotten everything by then, you wont in the last couple of hours. Just try and relax, get a good night’s sleep. It isnt the end of the world if you dont get a perfect score, you will still get into college. You can always take it again. Try and remember it isnt the end of the world. Your SAT scores do not determine your future. And dont worry, I’m sure you’ll do fine.

Well my old teacher used to tell me NEVER over study, maybe 6 hrs a day is too much!? Well he told me study one day then have a chill day then study chill day etc. etc. I did it and got aan A on the final I had to tak e:) Its a really good method adn if you make studying fun like tanning and studing with friedns should be funnier that being by yourself :)
