Like herbal remedies, etc.
Weight loss, exercise and a balanced diet is very effective way of dealing with it. Also eating lots of greens because it contains important minerals which helps your body get rid of excess hormones (it's not a cure) can help control it and basically avoiding anything with unnatural hormones i.e. red meat and milk, but like rotten said it will be difficult as hormones causes cravings.
Some supplements like Co Q10 might help but the prescription medications Metformin and Actos are your best bet. Metformin has the advantage of being generic, cheap and can help weight loss. Actos is more expensive, there is no generic yet, and can cause some weight gain. Like everyone else pointed out, maintaining a healthy weight through healthy exercise and diet will help a lot.
It's a genetic thing, but overweight usually enhances the syndrome. Weight loss and strict low-carb diets are said to help. But that is difficult as the syndrom messes with your hormones and thus with your appetites.
I guess, best is to ask your doc what you can do about your it.
