Myspace for singles?

I have always wanted a myspace. All of my friends have one and they all ask me if I do so they can stay in touch. We all live in different cities and are all commited if not married yet so I feel like all of my single friends who have one only use it to net work potential dates and for their own ego boost. I don’t want weird comments from all of my old guy friends who used to crush on me in there therefore I hesitate to get one. is that dumb? I just don’t want the drama. yet it is so convienent to run into someone you havent seen forever and to go ahead and tell them yes for myspace, that way they can keep in touch. but I guess there are other ways huh? like a blogspot or something. tell me what you think.

There are ways to have a Myspace and maintain it only to people you know. You can set it so only people who know your last name/email address can add you. You can make it private so strangers can’t see it and only add your friends. There are options to tweak your page to your desired privacy settings. Like on mine, I have it so all of my comments have to be approved before I post them, they don’t get posted until I read them first. I get some pretty off the wall comments, sometimes vulgar comments and if I don’t like them, no one knows they even existed except me and the person who sent them. I’m a single female and I get hounded for dates, nudes, hookups and that kind of junk all the time- if I see something I don’t like, I delete the message/comment, block the person and am done with it. No drama.

And no, it isn’t dumb to question getting a Myspace, it’s smart. You know what you want and what you don’t want and that’s using your head.

lifeseeker you are a funny and sexy lady I’m sure you would have no problems finding a nice dude in the real world. Go out there and shake that booty with some friends on the weekend. Let your hair down. Nothing more sexy than a chick with confidence. I want full gory details if you actually do this.lol

I know, I have thought about that. like I said though, I don’t want the drama, I would feel like I am just asking for troubl, I am afraid I would have to explain every comment…you know?

Answer #4

I would just get one & ignore the retarded guys.
