How to care for a pregnant rabbit?

I came into the kitchen on January 3 and I seen that my boyfriends 7 year old little brother put my 3 year old netherland dwarf bunny in his other brothers male dwarf rabbits cage. so She is for a fact pregnant.I don’t know what to do, when do the bunnies arrive? when to wean them from their mother, how to get cages built for the them when they have to be separated (if they do). I built a nesting box(not a good one) out of cardboard actually it does look alright, but it should be made out of wood. What if she doesn’t use it? , about a month ago I noticed she had two babies but they died, (she got pregnant from the owners before, they had two rabbits and didn’t know their sex) so I dont know if their going to live or what, How do I take care of her now that she is pregnant, how do I handle her? etc. Please help any info will be a help. Thanks

Hi,

You have a lot of questions and it’s very hard to answer them all adequately here. You should check out this website, which explains a LOT about breeding rabbits.

its not that hard you have to separate the male and female and just give the mom lots of food. Keep their cage in a warm place like 70 degrees and just keep a watch on them. the mom will pretty much feed them and the way you know is that she start takin of her hair she pretty much builts her own nest for her new baby. pretty much everythin is up 2 her. But you do have to clean the cage and do everythin like you did regularly. well if you need more info just contact me .

some female bunnies are very you know crazy when they start pregnancy. Like: eating too much food, drinking lots of water, and eating so much carrots and doent want you to touch them and pick them up and ya di da and the female bunny will be pregnant for 20 or more days ! THIS IS IMPORTANT: THE PREGNANT BUNNY HAS TO BE IN A PLACE WHERE IT IS 70 DEGREES HIGH ! VERY IMPRTANT

until the babies are like 3 or 4 or 5 weeks old I guess I am not really sure I am not an expert though ! :-) but I went to a store and bought a baby bunny it was super cute I asked her how old it is and she said she was 4 or 5 weeks old ! DO YOU belive that ? a baby bunny that is 4 wekks old ? so coute I got her when dhe was 5 or 6 inches big isn’t it adorable?

I USED A NEW KITTY LITTER BOX AND SOME NEWSPAPER AND SHELL PULL OUT HER HAIR FOR THEIR WARMTH. JUST FEED HER AND GIVE HER SNACKS LIKE CARROTS.. AND LOTS OF WATER! SHE’LL DO THE REST!
