My iPOD nano has 8MG but it only syncs about 960 songs.

I have over 2000 songs in iTunes, but for some reason, around 960 songs fills all the space. I have removed the games that automatically come with it, I have removed album covers to save space. I have no vids, movies, podcasts etc on it. What am I doing wrong? I was told it may hold up to 8000 songs. Kind Regards Sam

8 mb or 8g?

If it is one of the older gen nanos I doubt it can hold 8000 songs. For example I have 236 songs on my ipod touch 16gb and they take up 1.29GB of space. When you open itunes, go to “my device” and you can see how much memory there is on your nano and how much free space there is. It might just be that you haven’t synced a large proportion of your library to your ipod. Hope I helped :)
