My dog is terrified of thunderstorms

try to keep him in a inclosed room and pet him a lot dogs have really sensative ears I work with the 4H and there really nothing you can do to help but keep close to them

just comfort the dog and maybe hang out with it till’ the thunder storm is over, or maybe if it is at night time you could let it lay with you and pet it and make it feel re-assured that everything is okay. :)

Just comfort him/her, avoid leaving him/her alone during the storms because that is even more terrifying. Turning on the radio or something might help so he/she doesn’t hear the storm as much.

If he finds a place that really does comfort him, then let him be there…closet, under a vanity, etc.

You can also give them Benedryl, if they are really freaking out…it makes them sleepy.

You can also go to the Vet, and he will give you doggie tranquilizers you can give before the storm starts. (I had to give these to my old GSD, because he could NOT find a place where he felt secure, and would dig the floors, the walls, thru carpet…)
