Mongolian spot
I have a newborn with a mongolian spot. I am caucasion and the father is african american, it says every where that mongolian spots apear in dark babies. When my little boy first came out he was very white now two weeks later he is a little darker but still very light, my question is how long can it take for him to get as dark as he’s going to get?
A mongolian spot is like a birth mark and it doesnt mean that your baby will neccesarily get darker…later when he is in the sun more he will get a bit darker but not much. I am mixed and I am the lightest in colour among our siblings I also have a mongolian spot and it is darker. In the summer I got darker and in the winter lighter. to get an idea of how dark your baby can get look around the ears.
i know this is 4 yrs ago but mongolian marks will disapate with age and upon adult hood it should have fully vanished
