  1. The editorial market is more of a unique, exotic look. Something that is a little different, yet still beautiful. Commercial is more of your all American beauty, the girl next door type of look.

  2. An agent is able to tell right away by not only their look but by how they photograph. They are able to see what clients are going to like them the best, the editorial clients or the commercial clients.

  3. In most cases, a model that is a commercial model will never be an editorial model and vice versa. You are usually either suited to one market or the other. In some cases you can have a model that can work in both markets and that is the best type of model to have but it is very hard to find.
