Is modeling really that tough?

Its a long process to be honest. I’m a model myself! I was actually discovered. The modelling industry sometimes recommends you attend workshops and learn the techniques of modelling. You don’t necessarily need the looks… Thats where makeup comes into it. But you can’t be like overweight lol. If you can interest the photographer and intrigue them, than you’ve got it. Its hard to give a bit of an explanation really… I got into it differently. Many models will give you different stories of how they got into it.

Yes. It’s hard to even get looked at. You are constantly being judged on every part of your body. You have to be a certain height, a certain weight, a certain size. Remember that you’re doing this for a living so if you gain a pound you’re done. I’ve been asked to model several times by different companies but i dont want to deal with all that hassle, im too much of a free spirit to do it. I give model huge props though, it takes a lot to be flawless but they do it pretty well.

Hot Topic is a GREAT way to get into modeling. My friend is a model and started her career right there. You can go to http://funadvice.com/r/3jshvncibl and go to the bottom were those ‘Contact Us’ And ‘Privacy Policy’ buttons are, and there will be a ‘Model For Us Button’, you can view the rules and requirements there. It’s simple, and fun. You don’t have much to do either, and sucessfull models appear in ads on the web and as pictures on certain items too, and mag ads. :)

It depends on the model… And how they catch the photographer’s eyes. You gotta learn about the scams and all that. I’m like a freelance model, but currently working with a studio. Everyone gets into it differently. Some gets noticed, some has to pay. I got noticed. A few photographers found me on Facebook! LOL.
