My beta was a male and I put catfish and platys in with him. I never had a problem. As long as its not another beta you should be fine.
As a general rule you shouldn’t mix betas with other fish… However each fish is unique and has it’s own personality so you can try it but be prepared to separate them at the first sign of aggression.

I think you should be fine as long as you don’t put two beta’s together…they generally show aggression towards their own species.. And other fish with big fins are a no-no..

None Beta Fish eat other Beta Fish so im guessing that they eat any kind of fish
I had won a gold fish and put it with my beta and they were Ok.
