I doubt she actualli changed her name she probably just goes by miley cyrus for a publicity thing. most celebrities go by different names once they get a contract…its like a privacy thing

Well.not everyone likes their own name. It’s quite common. For example,my real name is Lauren,but I HATE it. So,I plan on changing my name for good when I’m 18 to something WAYY unique. I despise popular names. :P Andd,the person’s answer above it also true…I think. But still,ya never know.

Growing up her father called her smiley because she smiled all the time. It became Miley because she couldn’t say smiley when she was little. It stuck and her family always called her Miley.
