Really, it comes down to the man himself, though I'd say in general, all human beings have a tendency to want things they cannot have, or at least have some sort of fantasy of obtaining something they cannot have.
Every man is different. Some men find it fun in chasing something they can't have and other men are intent with what they do have. Some men don't know what they had til its gone. Every man is different though.
You can't generalize all men, they're not all the same.
