Is this by the book written "A long way Gone"? Memories of a boy soldier ? As to your question, children are robbed of the season of their childhood in many ways, in all times of history, and throughout the world. It is it's own act of war waged upon children. That's why I get baffled as to why kids are so determined to grow up before there time. Never knowing the dark side that awaits from the choices that are of their own making. Because many more don't have a choice in the matter.
No sign our innocence would be in jeopardy or even totally taken from us (forced adulthood)
