Math how help

The ratio of the length of a rectangle to its width is 4:5. The perimeter of the rectangle is 84 feet. Find the dementions of the rectangle.

well what is 4.5 times 84 and that is your answer for example 23feet! GOD, ITS NOT THAT FUC#IN HARD!

4.5 by 84=???feet! caculate it out and that is the answer!

babygirl220…the whole point of me asking this questiion is that I don’t know the answer, if I knew the answer, I wouldn’t be asking for help.

Its not 4.5. Re-read my question…I said “The ratio of the length of a rectangle to its width is 4:5. The perimeter of the rectangle is 84 feet. Find the dementions of the rectangle.” 4:5, not 4.5. You have to do something like change the ratio to a fraction and the do like x/84, but I just wasn’t sure exactly how to do it. And you really could be nicer. Even if it was 4.5*84(which it’s not and you would know that if you had read my question more carefully), if I didn’t know the answer, you could have told me in a nicer way. Thats a good way to make a person feel stupid. Please try to be nicer in the future.
