Math help!

I’m horrible at math.

The question is:

Ysquared(-4Y+5)-6Ysquared

I distributed to get:

(-4Ycubed+5Ysquared)-6Ysquared

Then combined like terms to get:

-4Ycubed-1Ysquared

Am I right?

If I’m wrong, where’d I go wrong?

Sorry about writing out squared and cubed. I can’t put exponents on the computer.

Answer #1

to get the squared symbol you hold the alt key and on the number pad hit 0178 and 0179 is cubed like so. y² or y³

Answer #2

wow I’m sorry I’m just amazed that I got that lolness!

Answer #3

lol, uhm yeah sounds about right… then you just take out the “y” part…

so… -ysquared (4y + 1)
