Can you get lung cancer if you don't smoke that often?

maybe like once every couple months?

Answer #1

Yes u cud still get it, ppl that don’t smoke at all get it from second hand smoke

Answer #2

Anyone can get lung cancer regardless of smoking, it’s just do you want to raise your chances up by smoking. If you only smoke every couple of months and don’t hang around in a smoke environment, then that should not have a significant impact on your cancer chances. But, why are you taking that chance? Is smoking really that important if it’s only every couple of months?

Answer #3

Lung cancer can happen to anyone if you smoke or not, but smoking even occassionally raises you chances of developing it.

Answer #4

Studies have shown that even from your very first cigarette cancer cells can begin to form in your lungs. The safest way to smoke is to not do it at all, and stay away from those who smoke because secondhand smoke can kill. My grandmother never touched a cigarette a day in her life but died of lung cancer due to her workplace being a smoke-friendly environment.

Answer #5

Yes, I would think. Meaby the chances of you getting it might be lower, but eventually it could be a reason why lung cancer developed. Plus, you can smoke little now, but the habbit might increase as time goes by. Also if your part of second smoke, that can also increase your chances. You can get lung cancer anyway, but that is just making your chances of getting it higher.
