Lip piercings and school

if yu feel uncomfortable about the way teachers are treating you just get a clear retainer…or just say screw them its your body,love it or leave it.I don’t think they have any rite to discriminate an kick you out of anything if your school allows it

it all depends…if they have a dress code or are strict about things like that then first theyll ask you to take it out, if you dont, they can kick you out yes while they have no affect on your learning and anything to do with school, schools like to work on appearance, to fit in with society but if there are no rules against peircings in your school then they cant do anything now, and just because some teachers get mad, if there are no rules against it, its not wrong

I have the same problem. I got my lip pierced yesterday and I have no idea how they are gonna react. Im not taking it out though…

I have my lip pierced twice on the left side. my principal as well as counselor have told me to take them out. since they take a certain amount of time to heal I can’t. they tell me to cover them up with a band-aid until they heal, then remove them. honestly, to me I think the no piercing rule is ridicilous. people see them when you first get them dun then quickly get bored with it, and its forgotten. many of the students at my school also think this rule is total bogus and think it is stupid that I have to remove them. I have no intention of removing my piercings and I have started a petition. I think if the pricipal and other authority figures at school want to control how a student dresses then get uniforms and leave it alone.
