No, Limewire is not illegal. Using it to trade copyrighted materials for free is illegal. It is merely a tool. It’s how you use it that matters.
Yeah But Loads Of People Still Use It.
It’s a file sharing program. But people send copyrighted content through it (Aka music, music videos, movies) Which is un-fair to the artists/directors. It’s like stealing.

the program itself is legal but what you get from it may or may not be… watch out, limewire also has a lot of viruses on its network… any file smaller than 500 kb might be a virus. you have been warned
