What kind of character would you rather play as?

Melee or spell-caster or other? So I’m playing Dragon Age again and decided to try out the mage race, seeing as I haven’t yet. Normally when I play games I prefer to be a frontline fighter, or be stabbing people in the back and such, but holy crap am I having fun with this. So, in generally for video and role playing games what kind of class do you prefer to play as? I’d go on a D&D spiel about classes but that would last way too long for any of you to want to bother reading, but any of you can if you wish. Any ideas in general are welcome.

woo hoo….sorcerer/mage/wizard(ftw) (as long as their is spell casting & its deadly like pyro blasting or chain lightening causing massive damage! :P bring it on) Sorry i am an ex world of warcraft aholic! and my fav toon to play was a spell caster you get to stand fm behind & do massive dmg while not taking as much bcz the healer is all over ya! :)

i’ll do the main negative roll :D villain!coz i think they have more emotions to play rather than being sweet or sad all the time :P so yeah i would go for that :)

I would want to be a witch. I tried it once in a Dungeons & Dragons game and loved it! :)

For Western RPG’s or MMO’s I usually end up with a caster class. Always get frustrated and bored with melee class’s.

I love that game :D i’d say go with being a mage, especially if you hadn’t before. This is probably way to late though haha.
