Job, Gloves

I’ve a dishwashing job at a restaurant, I don’t like to wear those annoying rubber gloves that make my hands sweat. Is it really necessary to wear gloves?

Answer #1

Yes. The hot water and detergent will eat the skin from your hands. I used to be in the kitchen of an Officers Open Mess and I found out the hard way. Trust me, that’s not ‘gentle-on-your-hands’ dish soap.

Answer #2

Meh, you’re supposed to. I didn’t. My hands got dry from the bleach/sanitizer, but, oh well. It went away in a week. But you have good bacteria on your hands that the sanitizer kills…

Answer #3

Yes, its quite essential to wear gloves because everyday your have to touch dish-washing soaps. They are not skin friendly and may cause skin problems and make your hand skin dull.
