I've hurt my back and cant do my job any more but cant quit

I hurt my back lifting at work being a carer and am now unable to do the job. The doctor has signed me off for the 3rd time now and for a month. I know my boss wants to get rid of me but doesnt have a good reason to sack me because its not that I dont want to work it that I cant and I cant give in my notice because I wont be able top claim anything and I have bills to pay

that sucks…I would say to try to stay with that job.for as long as you can. in the mean time try to find a other job were it rewires you to sit in a chair or do something else. or ask the boss “what else can I do”? he might give you a desk job were you work. but thats the best info I got…sorry man. im only 15 LOL.

firstly if you were injured at work doing your job you should claim for WCF (workers compensation fund) and your medical bills will be covered by the company and you might even recieve a nice backage deal if he sacks you, but you have to prove that you were injured at work during working hours

If your hurt back is caused by your job why are you not getting workman’s comp for your injury? Workmans comp should have been filed and you could have recieved money for your medical bills and lost wages.
