Why isn't toothpaste FDA approved?

Answer #1

it is not a food nor a drug.

Answer #2

Because “FDA” (The United States Food and Drug Administration) is in charge of protecting the health of the American public through the regulation of food, dr.ugs, and medical devices… it doesn’t have anything to do with toothpaste.

Some toothpastes are “ADA” approved though, meaning they are approved by the American Dental Association. They are the ones who deal with toothpaste, not the FDA.

Lol… then what do you suppose we brush our teeth with? Your answer is not correct. Fluoride actually strengthens your teeth, and protects the enamel.
