i have ben with my partner for 18 years met on my 18th birthday now we have to children and for the pass 9 years he has not helped me towards any bills, he may do the odd shopping he woks and i am a student. he comes in in the evening and call s me every name you can think off. i also pay nursery fees and schoold dinners and buy childrens clothes and shopping and do all the house work. He does not help towards nothing. I am so depress i have gained so much weight i just when to give up my place and take my childen with me and start over a gain. can anyone gie me some adive on what i can do
I really don't think he appreciates you or what you do for him. I think you should go maybe to your mother's or father's (whichever one, but if your mother hasn't passed away, i recommend her, because mom's tend to be more sympthetic and have more mature answers) and take your children to get away for about a week, and see if you can come back, and the house being a disater area, with no food, and nothing, then, i think you should probably get a divorce. If he's not appreciative of you, I garuntee there is another man out there that will, and greater.
Dear mariagrant, I am not sure here...but you said he works and you're a student but you pay several of the bills? Do you also work? This is a clear case of abuse and you can seek out the local women's shelter in your area. They will put you and your children up until you can either be relocated or find an apt. in your city. There is a lot of help out there it's time to do it for yourself and your children. Sue...good luck
If even half of what you say is true you should have dumped this louse long ago.
When you get in a rutt it can be very difficult to overcome inertia and get out. After staying in an unhappy relationship for many more years than I should have I learned that you can be much happier alone than in a bad relationship.
