there is no such pattern that people may take to achieve the awesomeness to success… each and everyone has their own “awesomeness” inside that has to be discovered, developed and nurtured… it’s like talent, expertise and gift… you’ve got to find yourself and that “awesomeness” together by trying things and having the will to try grab opportunities what have you…

Yes you can be too awesome. Everyone would like you so much eventually people would get jealous and annoyed. ‘Why is HE always the life of the party? When will someone else get a freaking chance!’ Too much of a good thing really is a bad thing, my friend :)
