Why does my Ipod freeze iTunes?

Several issues are plauging my Ipod yet again. ITunes is frozen everytime i connect my Ipod to the computer (tried different connections and wires). ITunes becomes completely unresponsive until i pull out my Ipod. Then it reverts to normal. My Ipod, however, freezes constantly. I reset it and reset it, but less than 30 seconds after resetting, it freezes again.

its a 160gb ipod classic that i got new in repalcement to another defuct ipod under warranty. apple doesnt renew the warranty when they replace ipods which is stupid. im not under warranty anymore. its only 2 months old.

That sucks. Do they have a physical hard drive? Maybe the hard drive in those models is defective.

I think i solved it by restoring it. I read online it doesnt always work and your left witha music-less ipod, so i didnt want to do it unless i couldnt figure it out. But now its able to work with i tunes so im hopeful! thanks regardless!

You may have to update your Ipod and your Itunes Software that’s what happened to my uncle’s Ipod and his Itunes. Or try considering re-installing Itunes.
