ok this is really weird but apparently it works. If you want to increase how much information you remember, like when you are studying, have a break every now and then and have a cold shower. Like unpleasantly cold. This increases your cortisol levels (stress hormone) which can help short term memory be consolidated into long term memory. Unfortunately, it is only effective if you are interested in what you are trying to learn - if you are bored out of your mind, it will have no effect. Which leads me to another point. You are also much more likely to remember something when you take an active interest, so try and get excited about learning.
By excercising. Your brain is a powerful tool and to optimize your capabilities and stay sharp and continue learning you have to excercise your brain. Always keep learning and reading new things, brain quiz books that involve thinking and problem solving in different areas of the brain also help.
I heard that people only use 10% of their brain, and the rest is for body functions.
