How to not be afraid to sing at this wedding?

on saturday I have to sing at a wedding and I have a lot of parts I have a solo a key change and I have to end the song im scared cause there will be tons of people there and my friend junior(guy I love) will be there and I have the tendency to mess up songs when I have to sing in public cause im nervous and even though they arent huge mistakes people really notice I get all worked up and sad what do I do

Sikashimmer’s advice is good! Also, remember that if you felt totally calm about the performance, you would probably not do so well - in my opinion, being a bit nervous before you sing, and aware of the challenges, makes you sing better. And advicegiva is right - it is really fun, once you’re up there!

Answer #2

Focus on a spot at the back. Dont look at peoples faces. If your anything like me if you look at someones face then you will start laughing! Good luck xxx

Answer #3

Practice Practice Practice.

I’ve found the only thing to calm my nerves is to know that I HAVE the song down and I’m in complete control.

Practice in front of as many people as you can and ask them their critiques.

You can record yourself and upload it to daretosing.com or youtube and ask for people online to critique you.
