I think there is an obvious list of general things that most people want to accomplish eg: Buy your own house, Get married, Have a baby... But in a more individual sense, I believe that goals are forever changing. Something that's important to you now, may not even register in 5 years time. For me personally, my goal right now, what I'm training for everyday and working towards, is to be accepted into Police college NZ, but obviously that goal won't be a goal anymore once I have been accepted, making the goal very short-term, even though my whole life revolves around it right now. People tend to make goals too broad, for example somebody may set a life-goal as ' live in the most exotic place in the world'. A goal like this is hard to achieve, simply because it is ill defined and way to broad to be a goal, so that person may never feel as though they have achieve it. I think we need to make short term goals, that aren't 'easy', but aren't ridiculously out of reach. People tend to do this with weight loss 'I want to loose 30kg in 3 weeks', OMG It will never happen! Set real goals (1.5-2kg a week), and you will feel great when you accomplish the goal, instead of feeling like a loser when you fail as unrealistic goal.
My personal most important thing in life to accomplish is just to be a good mother. I could fail at almost everything else and still be happy with myself as long as i know i did everything in my power to provide for, show my love for, and to care for my children. They come before anything else in my life and any other accomplishments i might strive for. Your children are your own flesh and blood and they are what lives on of you when your gone.
first, to leave a legacy - like writing a book or making a big positive impact in my or another persons life. i don't want to die like a normal person, i want to know that i made the best out of my life. second, to have a family - to get married and have kids of my own, & raise them up to be good people. last, travel to the most exotic places (like South Africa, India, China, etc) & learn new things.
Well this might sound bad, but in a english lesson my teacher said, 'Every Mans Born Free, But Lives His Life In Chains'. He then said to me . . the most inpotant thing to inbrace that fact and live life abundetly.
The most important thing, for me, is to live my life for God. I just want to do what He wants me to do, and I know I'll be ok. I want to help lead people to Christ, and thats my life mission.
Uhhh...I'm heartless! lol I just want to get snake bites, (piercings) I feel guillty now...:(
