Am I at a healthy weight and can I model?

Hiyaa, I’m 14 and I’m 5’8 and I weight 138 lbs I’ve been in a few school fashion shows and have several friends who take photography at college and I help them out by modelling for them. As well as this I have a photography mad mother who is extremely fond of taking pictures of me. Between all of this I’ve really developed a taste for modelling and it’s something I would really like to pursue further. I understand it’s difficult to start out and you need a certain look. I’ve been told I’m quite pretty but I understand I’m a little too chubby to be a real model. I would love to tone up my abs, thighs and butt and lose about 10lbs.

My questions are: Am I at a healthy weight? Is 10lbs enough to lose? What exercises can I do to lose this weight? And could anybody please recommend some low cal snacks?

Thanks!!

xx Love, me.

Girlfriend! The only way it to go to an agent! You need to find some local ones, take a few snapshots of yourself. Most will require a headshot no smile, heahshot smiles, and a full body. DO NOT pay for classes or anything unless they want money for a portfolio and that doesn’t cost very much.

Modelling is fun, for sure, I know how you mean. You don’t need to lose weight to see an agent. You are perfectly healthy! I am being signed by the Charles Stuart International, the people who disovered Coco Rocha. I am 5’91/2 and 132lbs. When you get into it, you’ll learn how to properly lose weight with exercises, aerobics and the such. Alot of the time you won’t evenn have to. They airbrush and photoshop you.

Toning in awesome. BUT PLEASE, do your toning and weight loss healthy. This industry is tough. And you need a BIG MIND to get through it. You can’t let someone calling you fat, ugly or big get in your way. And it will happen. But you can’t take it seriously.

Go see agents and go from there if you are really serious about it. You will know what to do from there. But for now, you are perfect.

ANYONE can model, but it is ALOT more than physical its LESS physical than it is personality and being photogenic. You don’t have to be thin, it’s not about being thin. It’s about being able to morph yourself into the role you ar trying to play and portraying emotions through your face, eyes and body language. It’s hard, but it can be really fun. You have to be outgoing and willing to do anything. If you have the passion, you can get there.
