I’m not sure I understand what you want to do. A text file is just a file full of letters and numbers – text. It is not a picture. Why do you think that converting to text will allow you to correct errors?

To edit pictures you need image editing software, something like Photoshop. There is a free, online image editor called Phoenix that you can use, here:

If it’s not so big that it makes your computer hang, you can drop the file into an open Notepad window if you want to for some reason open it as text (but I don’t really know why you’d ever want to do that).

Just go to http://funadvice.com/r/3k40jpbfa0 upload your tiff file and convert to text, then edit in word file and modify any according to your need.
