Why can't I ever get pregnant?

Im 17 years old Ive wanted a baby for somtime. I dont know why I just really want one. Its almost like a craving, its weird. Me and my boyfriend have sex and he never uses protection and its not like we are trying for a baby, but its not like we are woried about it. Can I get pregnant? Because I never do.

If you are not using protection, then you might as well be trying for a baby. Just because it has not happened yet does not mean it won’t.

It’s ok to want a baby, but you have to me mature, responsible, and selfless about it. Trying for baby at your age would not be any of those things. Few 17 year olds can give a baby what it needs and deserves. Before you try for a baby you should:

-know about reproductive anatomy, your cycles, fertility, and pregnancy -know about prenatal and child development -have health insurance for you and the baby -have a place to live with room for another person (Mommy and Daddy’s house does not count) -have Money -have the ability to get to the ob-gyn regularly -take prenatal vitamins for a few months before you even start trying -not smoke, drink, or do drugs -finish college

So please think about your future baby and don’t be selfish. At 17 years old, I doubt you can give it everything it deserves. Use protection until you can actually give a baby what it needs because what you’re doing now is not responsible at all. If you’re really ready for s*x, then you’re ready to be responsible about it.
