Sounds like your hormones are starting to kick in!

Don’t worry about the white stuff, they are called ‘discharge’, and they are a product of your vagina cleaning itself out. Unlike what teachel said, you will get it for the rest of your life. It’s just a normal and healthy function of your body, don’t worry about it! =)

And, it does sound like you may be getting your period sometime soon, but you can’t exactly tell when it’ll happen. It can take anywhere from tonight to next year, or even longer! The best thing to do is not stress about it and always bring along a sanitary pad/tampon (whichever you prefer) with you around when you’re out in case you happen to get your period at an inconvenient time! It’s good to be prepared than not.

As for what to expect, it’s pretty different for every girl. Some girls just notice a brown/black stain in their panties (it’s the color of blood that’s been dried), or some girls might get a proper flow of blood onto her panties (it can somewhat feel like you’ve wet yourself).

Telling your mom is pretty easy, no matter how you look at it. She’s been through it, every woman has been through it. And really, it’s not something to be nervous or worried about. If you’ve found out that you started your period, tell her something like, “Mom, I think I’ve just started my period”. She may be happy for you because you’ve “officially” become a ‘woman’, and she may also be concerned for you because she’s worried that you may be freaking out about it. So she might ask you details like ‘how much blood?’, ‘does your tummy hurt?’, ‘do you know how to use pads?’, etc. They may be kinda invasive and embarrassing questions, but remember she’s just trying to look out for you and make sure that you know what to do. So if you DO know what to do, tell her you have everything in control. If you don’t, feel free to ask her any questions, believe me, she will most definitely know the answer to it when it comes to periods =)

Answer #3

you are getting ready to start but the white stuff on your knickers is just discharge so tell your mam your worried and she will help

Answer #4

I was 11 when I got my period. I was in school when it happened and I went to the nurse and she called my mom and told her. You will probably get cramps a few days before you get it. Watch the white discharge. It could be a yeast infection. Good luck!

Answer #5

the white discharge is normal, I still get it and I started my periods 3 years ago, the white discharge eventually stops when you get out of being a teen :) the cramps will be your period starting, you normaly start your period around 11-13 about telling your mum, just say that your stomache is cramping, randomly to her, your mum will eventually realise and ask you if you have started you period and she will help you and get you stuff for when you do eventually start your period. :)

Answer #6

I got back pain and a headache the white stuff will last about 15 months
