I have 2 felony convictions in Michigan that are both over 10 years old. I now reside in Indiana and still can't find a decent job to take care of my kids. I get plenty of interviews and im highly qualified for the jobs I apply for but, the background check is whats keeping me from getting the job. NOW WHAT??????

I have been unable so far to find an organization in Indiana, but I will try to keep looking.
Ummmm, well that is the problem now, isn't? There is rarely any place that we felons can turn for job help. I swear, I am going to look into starting some kind of assistance program for us.
Have you tried asking your local employment office for help? Possibly temp agencies will know of their clients that aren't quite so picky. I wish you the best of luck.
ever heard of "PROJECT RIO"....... its for high profile offenders that need to be bonded to be placed back into the work force...... good luck (when your bonded the employers insurance will be more willing to hire a high risk candidate such as yourself)
Well, I would suggest contacting Project Rio to find out if they offer services outside of Texas or if they know of any similar programs in your area. I plan on doing the same for myself.
