If your constantly unhappy in life. If something good at happens but you refuse to get happiness from it. If you don’t wan to socialise and would rather sit and mope on your own. Depression can also be genetic so check with your family if your worried.
Other symptoms include feeling lethargic(tired constantly), and drinking more than usual. If you feel you have depression you need to speak out to someone whom you trust.

Most common symptoms are: lack of interest in things that you enjoyed in the past, insomnia OR wanting to sleep all of the time, lack of appetite OR eating more (lack of appetite is most common), feelings of hopelessness or helplessness, sudden mood swings, bouts of uncontrollable crying, lethargy (just an overwhelming feeling of BLAH!! No real desire to do anything that isn”t absolutely necessary or mandatory), isolating yourself from family and friends, thoughts of self-harm and possibly thinking out a plan. If you feel you may be depressed and have had these symptoms for greater than 6 weeks then you should contact your physician and let them know what’s going on and they can devise a treatment plan that is right for you If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me!
