I used to be horrible in math. My grades were awesome except for my math grades. I’d used to scream for joy when I got a C in Geometry! Even though I sucked at math (I still do… Sometimes I forget and count on my fingers till this day. lol!) I managed to pull through with at least a C.

Just make sure you keep on going to a tutor (that’s what I did and they helped A LOT. Some of my math teachers were just plain awful.) And make sure you do the homework every single day EVEN if they don’t collect it. One of my mistakes was that I didn’t do the homework a lot of the times because my teachers didn’t even collect it… But it’s called homework for a reason. Believe it or not, whether they collect it or not, it still helps you. Even if you don’t get some of the problems, it makes you become familiar with the work. And the ones you did have problems with, you can either ask the teacher or your tutor for help.

I know school stinks, but if you’re truly devoted to doing good in school, maybe you should cut down on some of the sports (I don’t know how many you’re in now…). I used to be in basketball and swimming and that took up A LOT of my time. I got home around 9 o’clock sometimes and was way too tired to do my homework. So I would always do a not so great job. When I dropped basketball, I noticed that my grades dramatically improved. So the sports may be an issue too.

But all in all, if you still have trouble with the grades, it won’t hurt to talk to your teacher as well. Explain the situation, and explain that you’re trying your best, and they will take note of your determination and keep that in their mind as well. They’re human too, they don’t know everything either, and they know their students are like that too. They can either further assist you, or list other alternatives to help.

Your issue is similar to mine though you should be dedicated to improve your grades in Maths being an important subject.

Answer #3

Ughhh well I’m a bit of a nerd… I’m in academics…

My math used to be HORRID, like I failed a lot, it was the one subject I was bad at, all I did was the homework EVERY night, it honestly helps soo much, if you practise it you remeber how to do it, and if you don’t understand talk to your teacher before or after classes and get her/him to walk you through it…

Yeah sports and friends tend to take up a lot of time… But whenever you can or have free time try to sit down and study it will help SOO much…

And if studying isn’t your thing… Get a tutor, or visit your teachers more often for like a 1on1 recap of the days lessons…

Gooo luck! =]
