Hyperventalate

Hyperventilate- To be afflicted with hyperventilation; breathe abnormally fast and deep.

I hyperventilated in the eighth grade because I couldn’t stop laughing in class and I lost my breath- I nearly passed out on my way to the nurse’s office. The nurse thought I was on drugs because of it, but I wasn’t and still aren’t. She had me breathe into a paper bag for a bit and called my parents.
