Hygiene...

How do you nicley tell your boyfriend that he has smelly breathe, as well as ask him if he brushes his teeth. I think he does but we have been going out for almost a year and I just started noticing.

If you’re not comfortable enough to just blatantly say “Dude, brush your teeth” something’s up.

Just make up a story about how your friend knew a guy with nasty breathe & that it was caused by some illness & maybe he’ll catch on.

Gum makes bad breath worse. Mints, however, can be effective.

And before you go “UH BUT I CHEW GUM EVERYTIME AND MY BREATH SMELLS MINTY AND FRESH, YOU OBVIOUSLY DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT”

neither do you. When you have bad breath, chewing gum makes your bad breath worse because while you’re chewing, your saliva is going to be all over the place, and your spit is going to make your breath worse.

could be another problem unrelated to good oral hygine practices…tell him you just recently started to notice the bad breath and maybe he should go see his dentist. Gingivitis can be a leading cause of bad breath even if you brush and so can dry mouth and illness. If it’s not something like that. Buy him tooth paste, a new brush and some floss for valentines. Tell him if he want’s more kisses this year then he’ll need to clean up his act.
