how to prevent tongue or belly piercing infection?

I dont want an infection eithier of my piercings. how do I pervent it or clean it before it gets worse? and how do I know if it is invected and how do I know when its getting better? {sorry just afraid of what could happen}

Tongue:

Rinse your mouth out with biotine after eating or drinking anything other that water or ice. Also try to refrain from smoking. If you must, rinse mouth out with biotine everytime you smoke. Try to stay away from Listerine and other products that contain a lot of alcohol. They tend to irritate the surrounding tissue of the piercing.

Also, rinse mouth out with a warm sea salt water solution twice a day.

Your piercer should have given you info on how to care for your piercing.
