How to make curly/wavy hair look great and not poof?

I’m a guy. My hair is naturally super thick curly/wavy hair at medium length I would say about 7 inches long.I use that garnier leave in conditioner and their wonder waves(or something) shampoo I also use that shaggy axe crap to keep it down a little.it looks great for about 3 hours then my hair poofs up. whats a great way to keep it from poofing out and drying up so fast? I don’t really want to use hair straightener or anything like that

when you wash your hair try putting a frizz serum in your hair while a little wet and comb through it and pop it up in a pointy tale for an hour or so or sleep over night with it also braid (braid the remaing hair in the pointytale) then you take it out run it with your fingers WALA!!

I don’t know if this will work for you because everyone’s hair is different but… I have thick wavy hair that likes to puff out and frizz. What I do is very simple. I use Head and Shoulders’ shampoo and conditioner(never forget the conditioner) don’t blow dry your hair because it dries it out and makes it frizz more if you don’t have a very good quality drier. After towel drying my hair, I apply Chi oil called “Silk Infusion”(you can find it at target) you just use a very small amount depending on your thickness and length, just experiment. I have thick 20 inch long hair and use only like a dime size amount, comb it through then let it air dry, if your hair starts to frizz, use a bit more and then once it dries completely use the Chi spray called “Keratin Mist”. Remember that your natural hair oils are the best so run your hands over your hair and through your hair to get them down to the tips of your hair. If your hair is damaged at the tips your hair will always frizz so trim it down when needed, this also makes your hair grow faster and healthier. The Chi products are also great for when you straighten and curl. They give you lots of shine and hold without the stiff crunchy feeling. I would also recommend the Chi ceramic straightener and Dryer, those are kind of expensive but a very good and healthy investment on your hair. Good luck.

I also have very thick curly hair..I always use a leave in cond. the I use moose and then top it off with hairspray..then I leave it air dry for like 10min.(I do my make-up) then I blow dry it on low for a bit.it usually helps me..
