You’d need one cardboard tube for each child. Then you’d also need something to seal the ends of the tube (such as tinfoil and rubber bands, etc).

Then you’d need a measure of rice for each tube. Seal one end of each tube, then add rice into the bottom. Then seal the other end of the tube.

Turn slowly, and you’ll hear the sounds of the rice inside moving from one end to the other, which sounds like rain falling :)
