How can a vegan lose weight?

how do you lose weight when you’re a vegan??? because all I eat are carbs … like bread… need to lose weight! fast!

Answer #1

um maybe you are consuming too much bread. your body only needs a certain number of servings of carbs, after it gets the amount it needs, unused carbs are stored as fat. Just because you are vegan and arnt eating meats or animal byproducts doesnt mean you should over-do it on carbs. I would suggest maybe planning out what you will eat each day so you dont over-do it in one particular area. for example you could have a bowl of fruits for breakfast, a fruit for mid-morning snack, a toasted veggie sandwhich drizzled with olive oil with roasted bell peppers, tomato, cucumber on sprouted toasted bread, carrotsor celery for snack, and maybe a salad with 1 serving nuts(?) for dinner. you’ll probably find that if you inculde more than just bread– meaning fruits, filling veggies, nuts/seeds/dried fruit, you will not feel the need to binge on bread. if you do want your bread however, I would suggest sprouted bread or gluten-free bread–its a little more pricy, but worth it b/c your body can digest it more easily. also sit down and eat your meals, when you serve a plate and sit to eat it you are less likely to overdose on food than if youre picking at things from the fridge.

Easier said than done.

Hi

Tofu is great use it in many ways and as many as possible and last time I checked it didn’t come from an animal (try allrecipes.com) always read your labels though. Yeah and do cut down on the carbs., my son is vegetarian close to becoming vegan and I cook for him so I know it’s difficult. But I can help you trust me I can.

I’m 41 years old have 5 kids and ready to move on as far as my weight goes.

My highest has been 279lbs. I had a couple of surgerys One of them prevents me from doing exercise which is the back disc fusion. Yet I’m losing the weight naturally and healthy.

My son is currently almost 300lbs and I am coaching him on his weight loss, he’s 16yrs old. I don’t know how old you are but no matter what start now do it for your health and for your future.

(2lbs per week, Healthy weight loss, no starving)

I know how it is to be the fatso and the ugly duckling but I also know what it is to lose weight and get the attention so hopefully you will contact me.

I am currently trying to lose 100 lbs so far I have lost 8lbs on my first month, no starving required. When it comes to losing weight it’s extremely difficult, but it can be done.

You need to start with determination, discipline and really want it.

Remember also many years of the abuse given to our digestive system counts. there is a 21 day cleansing program with what I am currently using that helps. esp. those last few pounds are the hardest. I say few because I have 100+ to go.

I truely believe that every pound counts so I know that those twenty lbs are really bothering you.

My father is a 68yrs old and has run 20+ marathons all of them 26+ miles he had about 10lbs to lose and couldn’t for many years. Believe me he is a healthy man, but couldn;t get rid of those last few and he lost them within 2mths. My mom one of the worlds most stubborn women has changed her eating habits and lost 9lbs the first month she’s 61yrs old and my brother lost 13;bs the first month he used the 21 day we have a whole list of people in our family alone losing it. Using these products

I’m giving you these websites for you to get more info : myspacecom/herbalrus (please read the blogs) and on herbalnutrition.net/jemmvli you can get more info on your health.

Remember there are many people offering you many products but I myself am a living testimony and I am also tired of my overweight issue I’ve battled with it all my life. Don’t take other peoples word for it do it yourself.

I currently don;t have pics of me posted due to the embarrasment of how I look and anybody with a weight issue knows that taking pics is not a fun thing to do. But I will post them as soon as I feel I can dig up the courage to take the after pic. I do have the before pic. hope to hear from you.

I’m not trying to sell a product I’m trying to help people that are ready and really need to change their lifestyle around. You have to willing and determined. It’s not easy and there is no magical button we can press to help us but I’m here if you need me. Jemmvli .

There is a difference between a vegitarian and a vegan, a vegan doesn’t eat anything to do with animals like everyones been saying, and a vegitarian, just doesn’t eat meat. mabye you are just a vegitarian and not a vegan, they both are helping the envirment alot so no matter what you are thanx.

Answer #5

Answer #6

Honey comes from bees.

Bread is made from wheat and grains, but you have to check the ingredients to make sure there is no butter, milk, or eggs in it.

If you are a vegan, losing weight should not be a problem for you. The vegan diet is made up largely of fruits and vegetables, and those are not fattening.

Answer #7

well if youre a vegan you shouldnt be eating bread in the first place. a vegan is someone who has nothing to do with animals, they dont eat meat, dairy products or eggs, not even honey! so if you become truly a vegan, that wont be a problem because youre pretty much just eating vegetables and fruit. maybe tofu

Answer #8

i thought bread was wheat and grains which is a plant and honey isnt an animal byproduct?

Answer #9

You know all you Vegans know you can’t take medicine either right if your going to lay those types of rules out. Because Geletin is made from animals and almost all medications contain it. Not to mention no soda either. The real question in why are you choosing to be Vegan, weight loss, animal treatment? Or have become a food cultist? Just kidding on the last one. But some of these diet lifestyle choices kind of are moving that way. Scary.
