How to be a good conversationalist

Im trying to be a good conversationalist but I think it is hard , I want it badly but I dont know ow to do it , should I give up or what . . Help

I agree with Kittie, keep up to date on current events. Also, just listen to the person you are talking to and respond. Remember that everyone likes to talk about themselves. If you ask someone a question about something they’re interested in whether its music, movies, whatever…they’ll talk your ear off. But try not to talk about yourself as often.

Also, its always interesting when someone knows strange, random facts. A friend of mine is great fun to talk to because he can always spout off some strange tidbit of information that surprises everyone. But if you do it too often, you’ll be “that know-it-all nerdy person”.
