My ex broke up with me and said he needs time the other day but he still wants to be friends… How long should I wait for him?
Sounds to me like he has another girl on the hook and wants the freedom to explore it. But he needs you to stay close by in case she doesn’t work out. That way he knows he can come right back to you if necessary, or mess around with you when she is unavailable. That’s what guys do.
My advice, tell him you have plenty of friends, but what you desire is a guy who isn’t wishy washy and can make up his mind and stay with one girl. Ditch him. Move on.
